The staff are just wonderful, particularly Norman, Jose, and Hafsa. Price is one of the best in the city for the location and space. As with any building, there's room for improvement, but in only some small ways

The roof top is great although I wish we had greenery that would block all of the air conditioning units . Front desk staff always are pleasant. Maintenance is timely, although on occasion, there are some mistakes made, but everyone is kind. Would love to get to know my fellow apartment dwellers a little better through more organized community events. Overall, this is a great place to live Highly recommend it to anyone who needs simple and functional

submitted by Potter - |Recommended: NoNo doors — Big safety issues and nobody seems to care. The front gate to the courtyard has been broken for almost 2 years and it looks like they just don't intend to repair it, but it is sitting their wide open. For almost 7 weeks the gate to the back garage has been broken and left open, letting anyone from the street wander right to the 2nd floor, and worst of all, the door from that 2nd floor garage is broken and so there is a clear path from the street right into the building. Requests to fix or work on this have gone unanswered. All comments seem to come back this is taking some time but there is no real show of progress that gives confidence this is happening.
response from property -Hi Potter, Thank you for reaching out, we are sorry we haven't sent anything out to residents clarifying the work that is being done, but here is an update. We received a number of bids to fix the gate and overhead door and were able to get those approved this week. Our contractor is working on the 2nd floor doors, they visited the property this week to do the assessment and are scheduling a time to come back and do the work. Hopefully in the next few weeks these issues will be resolved. If you would like, we can have our Property Manager reach out to you directly to keep you informed on the status of these projects. submitted by LB18 - |Recommended: YesPretty Decent — For the most part, I love living here. I love my unit and the staff is friendly and usually helpful. There are some issues though that a potential renter should know about 1. This building is dog friendly and many of the dogs spend their day barking incessantly. You cannot hide from this noise because there is no noise cancellation at your door. The front doors of the units are at least an inch off the ground and are hollow, so there is absolutely no noise protection—you will hear everything in the hallway and someone in the hallway can hear everything from your unit. You will be forced to hear the dogs at all times. 2. There are secret smokers in this building who try to get away with smoking, and management doesn't seem to make an active effort to find them and penalize them. So as a result, many neighbors have complained about cigarette smoke entering their apartments through the bathroom vents or other fixtures. Nothing is being done. Otherwise, it's pretty great here.

submitted by Karson P. - |Recommended: YesAmazing apartment complex — This is by far the best complex I have lived at, in terms of friendliness of staff and tenants. All common areas are super clean and there is a great gym Perfect location for restaurants, shopping, and metro. I like that there is always a staff member there to assist. It makes me feel safe that there is key fob entry at all entrances and that guests are vetted at the front door. Overall 5 stars

submitted by Tyler B. - |Recommended: NoNoise Matters — Trash compactor stuck in a loop very frequently. It makes it impossible to sleep at night. This had been a problem previously, but it seemed to go away for awhile. It seems the fix was only temporary. I will be updating reviews elsewhere Yelp, Apartmentratings, etc to reflect the current situation.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the trash compactor noise. Unfortunately, the trash compactor can get jammed, causing the issue you are referring to. This typically happens when inappropriate or large items are thrown down the trash chute causing the compactor to malfunction. We have had our contractor out to the property to ensure the compactor is working properly. We completely understand your frustration and hope that we can come up with another resolution to help prevent it in the future. submitted by Meghna B. - |Recommended: YesWonderful community in the perfect location — In a city where apartments have a high turnover rate, most people don't make a habit of getting to know their neighbors, and most buildings don't make a habit of getting to know their residents. Park Triangle is the exception to both of these rules. We have lived here for a little under a year, and the building's small size has allowed us to easily make friends with several other residents. The leasing, maintenance, and concierge staff are phenomenal. They recognize every resident by name, face, and apartment number the leasing agents are even familiar with all of the building's dogs . On multiple occasions, I've seen a non-resident walk into the building, only to be stopped by the concierge because he doesn't recognize them. This is uncommon for a DC building, and has made us feel safer here than in our previous residences. One time, my dog sitter cancelled while I was at work. I called the building's front desk in a panic, and moments later, a concierge member Rochelle went upstairs to check on my dog The leasing office and maintenance staff are exceptionally responsive. Maintenance requests are typically completed within the same day, and there is almost always someone in the leasing office. Our 1-bedroom apartment maximizes on its 600 sq ft, but is laid out a bit inconveniently you can only enter the bathroom through the bedroom . Appliances aren't phenomenal, but are pretty standard quality for an apartment in this price range in Northwest DC. Walls are surprisingly thick our new puppy yapped and whined at a very high volume, and our neighbors said they never heard her . If we weren't moving to another state this summer, I would definitely stay at Park Triangle as long as possible

submitted by Justin G. - |Recommended: YesGreat location and construction but lousy neighbors — Good apartments in a great location. The apartments are well constructed and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. However, the neighborhood can often be loud with crowds heading to Giant, car alarms, the fire station, and a flock of homeless people who constantly scream fight require ambulances for public drunkenness. That said, the sturdy windows dampen much of the sound. The building's amenities are fine although our new furniture was recently stolen from the roof and has not been replaced by management. The new furniture was excellent but what remains of it is now usually in disarray.
